Workshop development for the IUHPE Conference on Health Promotion: Policies to reduce social inequities in health

Dear ISECNers,

Francesca Ramondetti and I are looking for YOUR views, expertise, and contributions! Together with you, we would like to establish a working group to develop an abstract for a symposium or workshop to be held at the IUHPE Conference on Health Promotion in Thailand, August 2013.

The symposium/workshop will discuss aspects around Policies to reduce social inequity/inequality in health (SIH), including inter-sectoral and cross-level policies for health. As the conference’s topic will be “Best investments for health”, the session will aim at sharing experiences and good practice examples from different countries around the globe. Further details will depend on our experiences and preferences.

We hope that the working group will be a great opportunity for you to share your experiences and to develop your scientific career in the promoting, collaborative environment of our group. If you are interested, we might also continue discussing the topic independently from the conference in a “topic group”. Previous ISECN topic group discussions even culminated in the publication of an article in a peer-reviewed health promotion journal.

Please contact me until October 21 if you are interested, have further questions or know another person who might be wanting to participate: Marie.grimm05@gmail.com

Looking forward to hearing from you!
