Views of Health Promotion Online (VHPO) is the online dialogue tool of the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE).

VHPO replaces the former trilingual electronic journal of the IUHPE Reviews of health promotion & education online (RHP&EO), which sought to provide a forum for discussion and dialogue on various resources available to the global the health promotion community. All the papers of the former RHP&EO as well as those of the former Internet Journal of Health Promotion (IJHP) have been archived and you can access them by clicking here.

Taking advantage of the resources technology has to offer, with VHPO we have changed the format from a journal to an open live forum for the health promotion community (IUHPE members and non-members alike) to provide their views on IUHPE’s strategic development and health promotion hot topics. VHPO encourages dialogues in English, French and Spanish.

See ‘Dialogues in progress’ to contribute to ongoing discussions of interest to you and ‘Archives’ to read previous dialogues and their resulting recommendations and conclusions.

To add your views on any of the dialogues, you must register in the system, which is a very simple process taking little time. You only have to register once!

When you register you can select the language you are most comfortable in to navigate through the site, but the Streams of dialogue only develop in the original language they were posted in. You need to select the language at the top of the page to view and participate in dialogues in each language.

VHPO provides a new opportunity for dialogue amongst all who are interested in health promotion, and also provides a bottom-up communication link between IUHPE members and leadership. Be an active user of VHPO and help it to succeed! If you would like to submit a dialogue topic, click on the tab on the menu for the instructions.
